An Important Announcement

It is with a great excitement that we announce to you the new directors of Youth Alive Tasmania.

Ps Matt and Karen have been working with young people since 1996 and have had great success as Youth Pastors of Contagious Life Ministries and now as Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Church. With passion, energy and a desire to see life go to a whole other level, this couple is sure to see things explode for the young people of Tasmania.

Hey Tassie,

Matt here, and I’m pumped about 2009 and what the future holds. I want to assure you that we are taking some great faith steps and it’s a new day for you, your ministries, churches, and the youth of this state.

We won’t be still, we won’t be silent, we won’t go quietly – we are about living radically in an overly comfortable world. - Are you ready? Life is short, and the time is now.

This year I want to invite you to 3 meal meetings in Hobart, Launnie and on the North Coast (date, time and venue to be announced) we hope to meet and share our heart with you and what we believe is possible.

In August we have PRESTON from America (he is the vanilla version of Reggie Dabbs :-) and we will take him to as many schools as possible and run two insane state rallies – in Devonport and Hobart – again you will hear plenty about it.

Finally Karen and I want to connect with you. I am available to visit you and your teams on Friday and Saturday nights – If I can serve in any way - awesome - or if we just go for coffee after youth its my shout. Lets just not stay where we are!

Statistics tell us that there are over 65,000 young people aged between 5-14 years old and over 60,000 aged between 15-24 – that’s 125,000 people who we are called to reach, influence, challenge, love, champion, save, share with, to secure, embrace, care for!

Come on Tassie - the King had said GO and I will be with you – that’s good enough for me and my house!! Lets do it together
