Matt & Karen Sharples
With over a decade of working with young people Ps Matt and Karen take on the reins of Youth Alive Tassie. They have 4 amazing kids – Beth, Noah, Jonah and Bella. Matt & Karen have a passion for people and seeing them light up in and through their individual God-given destinies. And they have fun doing it! They approach everything with enthusiasm, commitment and transparency.
Laura Bienefelt
Laura has joined the team after two years studying at Hillsong Leadership College in Sydney. With passion, creativity, professionalism and a genuine desperation to see young lives shine, Laura is the hub of the Youth Alive team, heading up the admin and teams that make Youth Alive so special. Laura loves her best friend Ashlee, the beach, and shopping!
Matt Montgomerie
Monty is our events and venue management guy. He does all the behind the scenes type work. Monty is the baby on our team, he may be the youngest but what he lacks in years he makes up for with experience!! Monty lives in Hobart with his wonderful wife Emily.
Jono Deal
Jono is one cool guy. He is the Assistant Director and also looks after our schools stuff for Youth Alive Tassie. He has a passion for the Youth Ministries in this state to rise up and be all they can be. Jono loves surfing, taking photos (jonathandealphotography.com) and his beautiful wife Katie.
Jarrod & Sally Medwin
Jarrod and Sally are the power couple. With Sally's amazing voice and Jarrod's business mind, together they are unstoppable and have served on the Youth Alive team forever! Together they look after the development of Business and Finance. Jarrod and Sally live in Hobart and have a beautiful daughter called Emma.
James Garlick
James heads up our audio creative department, which includes the band and sound. Jim also likes photography and in his spare moments he is a wedding photographer (hope you like the plug James!). James and his wife Alana live in the South of the State in Hobart, and are pregnant with their first baby!
Dan Pastoor
Dan is our new Christians coordinator and hails from Energizer Life church. A Pastor, A Chaplain, a mighty man of God, Dan is set to break records and change Tassie as he coordinates and connects Chaplains and Pastors with young people.
Mel Docker
Mel leads up our incredible team of Volunteers - from carpark, to hosting, ushering and New Christians Counselling. She is also the Youth Pastor at Energizer Life Church and a woman who is known for her care and love of young people. We are so blessed to have a young woman of such integrity and dedication as part of our state team.
